Who are we and What do we Do?

At Crossfit Central, we are a group of like minded people who encourage, challenge, support, and compete with eachother. Everyone that comes into this program is a hard worker. We strive for getting a job done well in every aspect of life. We love that we can come into an environment were everybody around us to willing to give their best to become better. That is something that isn't always around us yet we seek it all of the time. We are people who are driven on our own, but at the same time love the ability to be pushed to another level by those around us. We will never except that we are done improving. We know that for as long as we are able, our lives value will continue to grow. We work hard, because hard work is always rewarded 10 fold. We love a challenge and are ready to welcome one at the moment it arrives.
We are Crossfitters. Visit us. Workout out with us. Shed Sweat, Blood and Tears with us. Let us know that you too are alive just like us!

Grace in 89

This was the weekend workout. I don't know if any workout is faster than that of Grace when done to max Capacity. I was definatey hurting well by the end of this and lost use of my right hand for about 5 minutes. I have to say though, it felt really good though to do a workout faster than anyone else has ever done!

Competition

This years games has really got me really amped up in my workouts. It is exciting to know that there is going to be alot of attention around them this year and knowing that I am blessed to be apart of them has me focused on working harder and harder as the last week before we leave comes upon us. I promise to go out and represent Crossfit Central, and all the Texas CrossFitters to my upmost ability. The time to let any excuses stand in the way of a day of hard work has been faded from my thoughts. I have a new motivation and I will only continue to rise up in this way of life I know as Fitness. Fitness is a way of life by the way, and to live it for all that it is and all that it defeats, all I have to do is choose it.

One Unit!

There is an undeniable factor that drives any team, group, organization or business towards success. Unity. A bond between many individuals who have strong a desire to work hard, allows a force field to occur that no outside resistance can penetrate. Every single person has strengths that can be utilized within the group that will enhance the overall ability of that group to strive to new heigths that would otherwise not be achievable. Teams who fail do so only through their inability to set work well with each other. A individual cannot carry a team. An individual can only help lift a team to another level by giving them self up to that team so the a higher achievement may be gained. This Saturday CrossFit Central hosted a team challenge. The commodore was amazing to watch and without question a terrific achievement to all those who participated!

Training for the Unknown

Everyday we wake up with an idea of what is coming based upon previous plans we have made for ourselves. We live in a sort of luxury that allows us to do what we want when we want based upon our decisions. Everynow and again though something will come up that we had no idea was going to happen. These are the moments I believe are the most important to be ready for. My idea is to be ready to take on a challenge that can require any sort of physical or mental task. Preparing for these moments isn't necessarily fun, but afterwords I am always glad that I did. I would hate to have to look around for help because I can't do the job needed at a time when only a minute or two is all the time that is available at the moment. I will be ready for "it"... whatever "it" may be!

How do you prepare for something that could happen if you don't even know what it is? Prepare yourself by doing things everyday that are out of the ordinary

Doing things others won't

"You start your workouts at 5:30?" That is a question I got yesterday evening from some people looking at the gym. They couldn't believe that people would be so crazy to get up that early for a workout. In my head, all I could think was how overweight they were and how deconditioned the will probably be for the rest of there lives. Every knows that people have excuses for why they aren't doing things they know they should. The reality is the only reason anything escapes or daily activities is because we choose not to make the time for it. Our clients who come at this time are people with busy lifestyles and have to find time for there workouts. No matter who you are or what you do, there is always a chance for you to improve on aspects of your life that need improvement. The thing about it is that you have to make time and commit yourself to working towards the improvements.

Sweat Demons!

Crossfit is know for being intense. The actuallity of it is that the workout can be as intense as you allow it. If in your mind you can conquer the feelings that come along with being fatigued(muscles burning, out of breathing, heart racing, head spinning) and continue to get work done at a high rate, then your body will have a neurological effect like never before. Crossfit workouts are short. In many of them we want them to be as short as possible to prove to ourselves that we are more capable than our minds will allow us to think. If you truly want fitness, get more work done quicker and your physical appearance and ability will be where they have never been. Don't believe your mind when it tells you to take it easy unless you want to let weakness rule. Ability to do is a powerful thing and should be experienced over and over again!

When you do your workouts right, you might be able to get your very own sweat demon! I hope so!

Out of Bed

Taking your health, fitness and productivity to another level will always come back to what you are doing for yourself in many different avenues. One of those that is a foundation of everything we do is our eating habits. So many will eat/snack unaware of what they are doing to themselves. "I had a Banana for breakfast... healthy right?" "I didn't eat because it was after 8pm and I wanted to avoid the calories."
Well at Crossfit Central we do not stand for malnutrition and if you are not getting where you want to be, all we can say is fix it. The clients that listen to us about nutrition get results. Everyone of them.
Here is a pic of a typical breakfast in my home.
Chopped onions and Bellpeppers, spinach, grilled chicken, bacon, eggs, and cheese cooked together. I topped this of with Some avocado and salsa. This meal can be made to fit the serving size of anyone of you. Don't forget the seasoning!
If you want to speed your progress up or take it to another level... Ask us how!
