I think a lot of time in Crossfit we tend to forget one of our key components to which is Speed. I know that many of our workouts are "for time" and we try to get the workout done as fast as possible. I believe we should work more on quick burst speed like 10 to 20 meter sprints so that our bodies can be prepared to get from A to B as fast as possible no matter how far away it is. Just like when we do 10 sets of 1 for increasing strength, these quick sprints will enable our bodies to develop a whole new muscle contraction that 400 and 800 meter runs cannot.
