Dang Gina!

This month I decided to begin highlighting one client that has shown outstanding effort throughout the last 30 days. For lack of a better term, lets just call this recognition "Client of the Month". For October my choice was easy. This person has been so focused and I couldn't help but take notice of the effort she put forth and more so the results that she saw.
Meet Gina. Gina is part of my M/W/F 11:15am class. She has been CrossFitting for a little over two years, but found a new fire this October. Gina is a rock star waitress at Z-Tejas, which is one of her biggest workout obstacles. Facing an endless supply of chips, guacamole and margaritas makes sticking to a healthy diet difficult. At the beginning of October, Gina felt she was becoming depressed and really needed a life change. She decided to focus on CrossFitting and her diet to improve her mood. She declared no grains, dairy or beer for the entire month. She also fought off her co-workers pressure to drink frozen margaritas and therefore missing class on Monday mornings. Gina did not miss a single class last month! Gina's father is in our 8am class, so to increase her motivation, she checks his time each day to see if she could beat him.

After four weeks of clean eating and consistent workouts, Gina feels great, has more energy and has lost inches around her waist. The "skinny" jeans that were hanging on her wall for motivation now fit, with no muffin top!

Gina has set out to make a permanent life change. I'm very proud of her for making the changes and sticking with it. We will do body comps again in two months and I know Gina will be a new woman. I can't wait to see her continue to change and love life!
